Hey there 👋 This is Ian, I'm a software engineer born in Switzerland and now based in Quebec, Canada. I've always been working fully remotely and for the past 6 years I've been exploring the world with Eli, my partner.

Sports (snowboard freestyle & mountain bike) pushed us to travel and explore and it made us realize how experiencing other cultures and learning from them can make you grow and be a better person, for you, and for people around you. So it motivated us to go out there, learn about the world and find our places.

Born in Seoul, raised in Portland, OR. Spent most of my career in NYC working for brand design agencies, with a short stint in the SF Bay area. I moved to Seoul in 2019 and now doing GTM/Product Marketing at a startup. I originally studied film, so I can nerd out with you if you love movies!

Long-term expat in Korea (7+ years), originally from Indonesia. Previously lived in London for 2 years. Settling here in Korea, with my Korean husband.

As for what I do, I am an international public sector consultant working in the intersections of climate change, sustainability, and project financing & management. Also pursuing my PhD on the side at Korea University.

In my free time, I am a foodie and love to cook 🍨🍜🍛🥘, avid traveler 🌏, and super into the outdoor and hiking especially in autumn 🍁
