Everyone should feel included and part of the group. We encourage everyone to introduce themselves at the start of the meal. If someone seems hesitant to speak, try asking for their input – they may just be a bit shy.
Share the conversation
Everyone wants to have the opportunity to contribute something to the discussion. We ask that you don't monopolize the conversation. Listen to others and take turns sharing your thoughts.
Be present
Unless there are special circumstances, put your phone on silent mode and keep it in your pocket. If you need to use it, consider taking a bathroom break. The best experience will be had when everyone is present and engaged.
Assume good intentions
Everyone has different perspectives and opinions. Approach the conversation with an open mind and assume good intentions. If you disagree with someone, this is your chance to build some empathy and understanding through genuine goodwill and connection.
